Editor-in-Chief: Bingyang Ji, MD, PhD

Prof. Bingyang Ji is currently the vice director of the Center for Cardiopulmonary Bypass, the director of the Department of Adult Cardiopulmonary Bypass and the managing director of ECMO in Fuwai Hospital, the premiere hospital for cardiovascular disease within the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He serves as chief of the Extracorporeal Life Support Association within the Chinese Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiology, and is a member of the subcommittee of Cardiopulmonary Bypass within the Chinese Society of Anesthesiology and a member of the subcommittee of Cardiovascular Surgeons within the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Prof. Ji brings to ECLS extensive editorial experience as the Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Extracorporeal Circulation and the Communications Editor of the Indian Journal of Extracorporeal Circulation.
Prof. Ji received his medical training at China Medical University and finished his residency training in Fuwai Hospital. From 2005 to 2007, he served as a senior research assistant at the Penn State University School of Medicine at Hershey Medical Center in the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Artificial Organ Research. After completing his research training, he became faculty at Anzhen Hospital, Beijing. Since 2010, Prof. Ji has served in the Department of Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Fuwai Hospital and has been a doctoral tutor in the Department of Anesthesiology since 2014.
Prof. Ji’s research interests are broad within the field of extracorporeal life support, with particular expertise in cardiopulmonary bypass.
